How to Use Talent Pool Matching In Alooba

Using Talent Pool Matching in Alooba is a straightforward process. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Navigate to the Candidate Search Page: This is where you can access the Talent Pool Matching feature. Click on the search icon located in the top right corner of the page or the 'Candidates' menu item on the left under either Alooba Assess or Alooba Junior.

  2. Search by Skill: Enter the skills that are relevant to the new role you're trying to fill. Alooba will return a list of candidates who have demonstrated these skills in their previous applications.

    • The system will consider candidates who have taken assessments that include the selected skills. For candidates who have taken a skill in multiple assessments, the average score will be considered.
    • The results will be sorted based on each candidate's overall score, which represents the average of all their skills.
  3. Search by Date Range: Specify the date range within which the candidates applied. This allows you to focus on recent applicants or widen your search to include older applications.

By combining skill and date range searches, you can effectively find candidates who not only possess the necessary skills but also have a recent interest in your organization. You may want to also further refine your search by selecting one or multiple Alooba products (Alooba Assess, Alooba Junior, and/or Alooba Growth) in the Product Filter.


In the search candidates page, when the skills filter is not empty, then the results will not be clickable since they are aggregated from all the assessments the candidates have participated in.

Example

Let's consider a real-world example. Suppose your organization is looking to fill a new role for a Data Analyst. Your organization have been using Alooba to fill several similar roles recently, such as Product Analyst, and Business Analyst. Instead of starting the recruitment process from scratch, you decide to use the Talent Pool Matching feature. You have identified that the important skills you will be looking for in your new Data Analyst are Python, SQL, and Statistics.

You navigate to the Candidate Search Page and select Python, SQL, and Statistics in the skills filter. You then specify the date range to cover the past six months. Alooba returns a list of candidates who rated highly across those skills during that period. You can now review these candidates and consider reaching out to them for the Data Analyst role, saving significant time and resources.

The result will include the candidate names, their emails, the average score on each of the skills selected in the Skills Filter, and the average total score. The result is sorted by the average total score by default, but you can sort by Name or Email columns.
